Country’s most inclusive restaurant OKO serves pan Asian delicacies with #PureLove

OKO, a Pan Asian Destination at The Lalit claims the top spot for being the most inclusive fine dining restaurant in the country. Ever since its launch at The Lalit New Delhi in 2019, the space has opened new horizons and redefined what a fine diner can be. OKO was the first restaurant in the country to have an all-women and trans-women team in both the kitchen and services. The space hosted Drag Brunches, Kitty Su Pop-Ups, and Drag Queen Story Hour for children and has pushed the envelope for inclusion like none other.

The place so rich in ideology has equally mastered the craft of cooking, having elevated a simple grain to create an experience par excellence. As a result, the food scores are high on all sensorial counts – visual, olfactorial, and gustatorial. The cherry on top is the location that provides a stunning 360-degree view of the Delhi skyline from the 28th floor. Designed to intrigue the food connoisseur, OKO serves exotic flavours from Japan, China, Thailand. Keeping true to The Lalit’s philosophy of ‘we serve what we grow,’ indigenous ingredients have been sourced at the OKO kitchen.

“Cooking is an art, but fine dining is about an experience. Through OKO I wanted to usher meaningful conversations and open minds. It is considered woke to have queer customers because it is good for the business, but when it comes to being inclusive from the inside, it is a different scenario altogether. At OKO, we ensured equality and proper representation since its launch. Food does not discriminate and neither should we,” said Keshav Suri, Executive Director, Lalit Suri Hospitality Group.

OKO serves one of the largest Pan-Asian menus in the city with live Sushi, Teppanyaki, Robata counters, and a carefully crafted list of ‘Sushiri’ – sushi and wine pairings. A luncheon with friends or cosy dinner with a loved one, this is the place you should head out next to experience magic!
